Associate of the Appraisers Association of America

Ellen has eighteen years of experience in interdisciplinary work at fine art studios, museums, and educational non-profits. She holds a BA in Art History and a BFA in Painting, plus an MA in Art History that provided opportunities to train at major art and history museums in Washington D.C., including the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History, the National Portrait Gallery, and The Phillips Collection.

A graduate of the Comprehensive Appraisal Studies Program through the Appraisers Association of America, Ellen is highly qualified to appraise any fine or decorative art item in your collection that has a marketable value, including prints, paintings, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and furniture. She has experience appraising everything from household items to works by modern masters like Picasso. Ellen works independently and objectively and is not affiliated with any gallery, museum, auction house, or private dealer.
